Footnotes
MUSICAL PRAYER broke on top and was the outside horse as four grays contested the early lead, took command going into the turn, maintained a clear lead into the stretch under confident handling, and held clear under a steady drive and intermittent urging. WHATA MOON tracked three-wide behind the grays in the early stages, moved up to go after MUSICAL PRAYER approaching the quarter pole, then gave futile chase through the stretch and had to settle for second. LOTTERY TICKET settled just behind the grays for the first quarter mile, moved out to the three-path for the run through the turn, ranged up three-wide at the quarter pole, took aim on the leaders in the stretch, but lacked the needed late kick. HALEAKALA vied two-deep between grays, kept on under a drive through the late stages, but was not quite doing enough in the late stages. VIGGIEDAL contested the pace three-deep between grays, was the first to back out near the half-mile pole, raced on the wrong lead through upper stretch, and was unable to rally. DAY FOR THE GRAY broke well and was the inside gray in the early pace battle, started to lose ground midway through the turn, and was outfinished through the stretch. HONEST was very slow into stride, dropped to the back, and chased the grays throughout.
