SHORT SPEECH tracked four-wide not far off the pace up the backstretch, launched a bid with three furlongs to run, chased VANCOUVER VALOR into the stretch with WITT'S DUBAI GIRL also a factor to the inside, gradually wore down both foes in the late stages and prevailed in the last jumps. VANCOUVER VALOR broke well, made the lead and led the way into the turn with the rest in close pursuit, opened up a bit at the quarter pole, had SHORT SPEECH giving chase to the outside, finished gamely ahead of rivals to both sides in the final furlong but yielded in the last jumps. WITT'S DUBAI GAL away in good order, tracked close up on the inside, steadied slightly before the quarter pole, finished up well, but was not quite good enough. GLORY ALL THE TIME raced in the middle of the compact field, never far back, kept to the inside through the turn but was outkicked in the stretch. HOLIDAY CRUISE dropped to the back after a level start, tried to rally three-wide through the turn but was unable to threaten. EVIL TOM broke on top, dueled with VANCOUVER VALOR three-deep to the turn, dropped out before the three-furlong pole and had nothing to offer in the stretch.
