RUNFORJUSTICE tracked four-wide up the backstretch, advanced under a stiff drive through the turn, came four-wide into the stretch, produced a steady rally, and pulled clear in the final yards. METRONOME put a head in front early with rivals on both sides in hot pursuit, maintained the lead through the turn and into the stretch, dug in under challenge from RUNFORJUSTICE, but was unable to last. ALL COUNTRY hustled up to join the early pace, backed off near the three-furlong pole, tried to come back in the stretch, but was unsuccessful. WHEN SMOKEY SINGS pressed the early pace three-wide, chased into the stretch under a drive, and flattened a bit in the final furlong. BEYOND GRATEFUL chased three-wide and stayed on mildly through the stretch while never a serious threat. BELLO dropped far behind and lacked any response.
