Footnotes
WON MORE TIME got away well, was four-deep in the early pace mix, backed off before the half, then came back on approaching the quarter pole, responded to with a rally under strong handling in the stretch, and was up in the final yards. WAR SPIRIT veered out at the start, but was quick enough to contest the early pace, got a head in front midway through the turn, kicked clear when asked at the top of the stretch, but could not hold off the winner in the final yards. MAX COLLECTOR broke out at the start, causing trouble for rivals in the adjacent stalls, was hustled up to join the early pace battle, but backed off before the turn, hugged the rail into the stretch, and kept to task and came back to improve. CHARLIE DONT SURF hustled away to vie two-deep in the early pace scramble, was the inside of three going at it through the turn, then steadied when trying to bear out leaving the three-furlong pole, was taken to the outside, came back on but could not make up the lost ground. ROARING RAPIDS broke out, making contact with CHARMING OAKIE, then got shuffled back, advanced through the turn to gain contention, then had aim on the leaders in the stretch, closed the gap, but was not doing enough in the last stages. BRINK OF WAR broke sharply and contested the early pace five-wide, then three-wide through the turn, came into the stretch even with WAR SPIRIT for the lead but weakened. CHARMING OAKIE got roughed up from both sides after the start, settled four-wide near the back, and was gaining mildly late. WILDCAT COUNTRY got carried outward by the inside foe after the break, raced with the leader to the half, then dropped out. WITT'S TEN TOUCH got squeezed and pinched back at the start, gave chase but was unable to make any impact. APPEAL GUY got knocked off-stride by the inside rival as part of a chain reaction, chased well behind the forward pack to the turn and faded in the stretch.
