DONEGAL FREEDOM went quickly to the lead, attempted to slow the pace, led the way down the backstretch and through the far turn under confident handling, responded when asked to go in upper stretch, and drew clear under steady handling. RIVETAGE was allowed to settle at the back, trailed well behind the pace for the first half-mile, started to run on from the three-furlong pole, angled out to the four-path in the stretch, and rallied to be just up for second. CAWKAB raced at the head of the trio at the back, advanced under a drive through the far turn, came into the stretch in second position but was caught at the wire. LOVE PACK tracked three-wide, made a mild bid late on the far turn but did not quicken in the stretch and was unable to threaten. HEGS settled two-wide just off DONEGAL FREEDOM, had to be hard-ridden to keep up late on the turn, but did not respond and faded in the late stages. FALCON QUEST settled with the trio at the rear and never offered a rally.
