Footnotes
CHIEF BRADY broke a step slow, then sprinted to a clear early lead, widened a bit through the turn, then held well clear through the stretch. GUITAR BOY was a little slow to begin the moved up along the rail with the tracking group, emerged from the pack midway through the turn, but could do no more than chase the winner home while clear of the next horse. VIETNAM VICTORY was allowed to settle and raced close up four-wide down the backstretch, continued to through the turn while under a ride, and produced a steady finish to gain the minor award. TEAM GORMLEY tracked the pacesetter two-wide, was under pressure midway through the turn and weakened in the stretch. GHOST COWBOY raced two-deep with the tracking group, dropped back on the turn, and was outfinished in the stretch. RIPSTER was three-wide in the second flight initially, started to lose ground after passing the half-mile pole, steadily retreated to the rear, and was uninvolved in the late stages. EUROROCKSTAR outpaced early, moved up to the back of the main pack heading into the turn, went three to four wide, and lacked a finish.
