RUNNING POINT seized the early advantage, maintained a clear lead through the middle stages, widened the lead on the far turn, then drew further clear to the wire. PEYTON'S DAY settled inside with the third pair early, put in a good late rally to gain the place, but was never getting to the winner. ROCKY ROCK IT broke outward at the start, settled inside behind the pacesetter, was unable to kick on in the stretch, and was outfinished for the place while clear of the next horse. WITHERING GAZE settled two-deep in the third pair through the first half, was put in a drive midway through the far turn, but lacked the needed response. RICKIE ROOOO STER came away from the gate a bit awkwardly, settled at the rear of the field, and lacked a finish. GUARD OF HONOUR tracked two-wide in the second pair behind the pacesetter, then faltered in the stretch.
