FLASHOUT brushed with the outside rival after the break, tracked two-wide just behind the leader to the far turn, took command in upper stretch and held clear under steady handling and intermitent urging. AGGIE'S CREED disputed the early pace for the first quarter mile, backed out before the turn, then put in a strong rally to get up into second. HIGH CINCO raced close up for the initial furlong, dropped back to last before the turn, then came back on in deep stretch to just get up and claim the third prize. TEXAS CREED vied between foes in the early pace mix, put a head in front past the half-mile pole, dug in under threat from FLASHOUT approaching the quarter pole, battled gamely to mid-stretch, then gave way. SIX IRON pressed the early pace five-wide down the backstretch, then three-wide through the turn, loomed a threat in upper stretch but flattened out. MAJOR ORTIZ was in the early pace mix to the turn, then weakened under a drive near the quarter pole and had little to offer in the stretch. DR SKYSCRAPER raced with the pack for a quarter mile, and was done before reaching the stretch.
