Footnotes
EDGEMEISTER broke well, dueled inside of CLOSING SPEAKER from the start, had a slight lead in upper stretch, and held that rival at bay to the finish. CLOSING SPEAKER dueled outside of a rival, chased gamely through the stretch, but had to settle for second best. WHISPERIN LIZ tracked off the pace in three-wide in the second flight, launched a bid approaching the quarter pole, loomed three-wide in upper stretch, but could not get to the top pair. SISTER SPEAKER was always close up but was not doing enough in the late stages to pose a threat. BAD AND BOOZY dropped back after an even start, chased three-wide, moved up four-wide through the turn, then flattened out in the stretch. MUCHO PINK was the distant early trailer, rallied past tired foe in the closing stages. HOT DONNA broke in a tangle, chased three-wide into the turn, then lacked a meaningful late bid. SECRET CROWN raced close up along the rail for the first half, dropped back to last on the turn, started to make a late bid, had to steady at the top of the stretch, then mildly gained after that. WARRIOR'S CODE was slow to get going, rushed up into the fray late on the backstretch, weakened midway through the turn, and had nothing to offer in the stretch.
