ONE DEAL broke in and made contact with the inside rival, was then allowed to settle, raced at the rear of the main pack early on, launched a steady rally from the three-furlong pole, raced a little erratically in upper stretch, found best stride late, and surged past the field to get up in the last jump. TAKE THIS CITY tracked close up five-wide, finished well, but got nailed at the line. RED DIRT ALLEY stalked the pace three-wide, got a head in front at the sixteenth marker, but was overtaken in the final yards. E Z WORDS broke on top but ceded the lead and backed off to a tracking position, remained close up, but lacked a clear path from that point to the finish. PROMISE ME MONEY hopped at the start, then rushed to take a slight lead, led the way through the turn with a host of pursuers just behind, responded when asked to go on in upper stretch but yielded inside the sixteenth marker. SHANGHAI CHARLIE pressed the pace two-wide then weakened in the final furlong. GOOD NIGHT AMERICA was slow to begin and was under a ride from the start to keep up, raced in the three-path, and lacked any late interest. ZOOM THERE IT IS got bumped at the start, then was a bit rank after the break and spotted the field a head start, dropped far back before the turn and was not involved in the late stages.
