Footnotes
SASSY FLYER sharp start, dueled outside of QUIXX to the turn, took command passing the three-furlong pole, then brushed off a challenge from R S AMERICAN TIDE, floated a bit wide on the turn, raced on the left lead through the stretch, but still managed to finish well and pull clear in the final yards. PAYNTER'S PALETTE dropped to last going into the turn, came off the rail to launch a three-wide rally from the top of the stretch, closed in up the inside, and was just up to win the second prize. QUIXX was sent aggressively to the front from the break, dueled with SASSY FLYER to the turn, came into the stretch with a narrow advantage but could not match strides in the final stages. I'M ON EDGE hustled away, tracked four-wide, was in range of the leaders approaching the quarter pole, but flattened out and was outfinished. TOO MUCH GUITAR was put in tight after the start, settled at the back to the turn, moved up three-wide, came under pressure near the quarter pole, flattened out in the stretch but was able to outfinish tired foes. R S AMERICAN TIDE stumbled at the start and was last away, then advanced four-wide to loom a threat passing the quarter pole, then faltered in the stretch. FIND THE LIGHT broke well, dropped to the middle of the field, and was under a drive to keep pace, then was outfinished. DIXIE'S HEART raced in mid-pack along the rail, started to weaken on the turn, and lacked a finish.
