EL GUTY seized the early lead and was left to dictate comfortable early fractions, widened the margin on the far turn, then had something left when asked in the stretch and kicked clear under steady handling. HASKELLED settled well off the pace, saved ground throughout, and finished up well to move up into the second spot, while no threat to the winner. DROBNY tracked up close inside, went evenly late. CURLINS INCHARGE settled in mid-pack on the rail for the first half-mile, stayed on with a steady finish. CLEMENTS RIDE settled near the rear, then made a belated rally in the stretch to improve. MUCHO MACHO CAM raced up close three-wide with the tracking group, weakened late on the turn and lacked a finish. HOLIDAY RUN went three-wide on the first turn, tracked the lone pacesetter to the stretch, then weakened. CHILL THE J bobbled at the start, fell behind early, was outrun and never involved.
