Footnotes
TIZAWIZ broke well but opted to set back well off the pace, raced at the front of the second group up the backstretch, quickened noticeably when given the cue midway through the far turn, swung six-wide into the stretch and unleashed a powerful late run, inhaled the field in upper stretch, angled over to the inside, and won going away. KENTUCKY ANGEL was held up in mid-pack through the early running, tipped out to the four-path turning for home, and rallied to gain second. GET READY GAL got forward position three wide on the clubhouse turn, settled at the back of the front group for the first half, responded when asked to go on leaving the three-furlong pole, steadied in upper stretch, then re-rallied but got caught from behind for second. TWO PRACTICAL got bumped sideways at the start, settled near the back of the field, was still far behind going into the far turn, launched a bid from the three-furlong pole, picked up momentum in the stretch, and rallied to improve position but was too late to threaten for the win. ENTICING SUNSET rushed up to join the early pace battle, settled just off the flank of HEAVENLY DREAM on the lead, failed to quicken turning for home, and was overtaken and outkicked in the stretch. SAN MATEO KAT settled three-wide tracking the early pace, steadied in upper stretch, and was unable to regain momentum. PAINTBRUSH got put in-tight after the start, shuffled back, and was last into the first turn, raced far back, then made a belated rally to improve. BALMORHEA was wrangled back after the start, moved over to the rail going into the first turn, settled well off the pace, saved ground to the stretch, and lacked a rally. HEAVENLY DREAM broke outward at the start, then was hustled forward to vie for the early lead, was left alone to dictate the tempo, set solid fractions to the far turn while a little over a length clear, turned for home with the lead but was getting short, and had little to offer in the late stages. MADDIENLIZZYSHONOR was unhurried at the back going into the clubhouse turn, remained as the back marker to the far turn, then managed to pass one tired rival in the stretch. RUN BAMBI RUN was allowed to settle after the start, raced close up along the rail not far off the pace, appeared to have every chance turning for home, but lacked a response and faded. THERE WAS A STEWARDS INQUIRY INTO THE STRETCH RUN. ALSO, THE JOCKEY ON #7 KENTUCKY ANGEL LODGED A CLAIM OF FOUL AGAINST THE WINNER #5 TIZAWIZ ALLEGING INTERFERENCE. AFTER A REVIEW, THE OBJECTION WAS DISALLOWED AND THE ORIGINAL FINISH WAS MADE OFFICIAL.
