Footnotes
PATRONAGE saved ground, rallied near the quarter pole and was clear late under a mild drive. REFLEX pressed the pace outside of rivals, bid near the eighth pole but couldn't hold off the winner. THE IRISH RANTER bobbled the start, was clear early, led inside of rivals and yielded near the eighth pole. AMERICAN WIND pressed the pace between rivals before fading in the stretch. ONLY FRANK KNOWS was off awkwardly and passed tired rivals. HOWARD'S GRIT pressed the early pace inside before giving way near the three-eighths pole. UNUSUAL ACTIVITY hopped at the start, then showed nothing.
