FRIAR NEWTON stalked the pace inside, bid in the three path near the three-eighths pole and was clear late under a mild drive. DR RUBEN M dueled inside but couldn't hold off the winner. OVERSTATEMENT stumbled at the start, stalked the pace in the three path, bid near the half-mile pole, dueled outside and yielded late. CANDY KING pressed the pace, gave way near the three-eighths pole and was eased.
