GREAT SWORD was bumped at the start, stalked the pace in the two path, bid between rivals near the three-quarters pole, led inside and drew off late under a mild drive. PURDY DARN GOOD was brushed at the start, stalked the pace in the three path, rallied near the three-eighths pole but was no match for the winner. MOONRISE DRIVE bobbled the start, moved to the four path near the quarter pole and faded in the stretch. MAN OF QUALITY broke outward, pressed the early pace in the three path before fading near the quarter pole. SPUNS SON passed tired horses. CATALINA GOLD was not a factor. AMERICAN WIND led inside, gave way near the five-eighths pole, faded by the three-eighths pole and was eased to the wire.
