FIELDS OF GREY raced in the three path, rallied near the eighth pole and was in time under steady urging. VERY ROYAL was unrushed early inside, shifted to the four path near the eighth pole and rallied strongly. TIZNOT pressed the pace inside, bid outside of the leader near the three-eighths pole, dueled, was clear late and was caught. MODERN LEGACY led in the two path before giving way nearing the sixteenth pole. SEA OATS saved ground but had no late bid. THOUSAND BYUS saved ground, angled to the three path on the far turn but had no late bid. MO QUE saved ground to no avail. CENTER FIELDER stalked the pace in the two path and gave way near the half-mile pole. GOOMBAY SMASH raced well back and was eased. JUST NOVA was impeded at the start, raced well back, faded and was eased.
