RHETORICAL tracked along the inside, then in the two path into the backstretch, tipped three wide into upper stretch, rallied to bid at the furlong grounds, gained an advantage leaving that juncture then held from pursuers late. PROGRAM TRADING (GB) settled off of the pace in the two path, shifted out to the four path in upper stretch, rallied to bid for place along with an inner rival in the final sixteenth, then held that position while closing in on the leader late. BRILLIANT BERTI laid well back in the three to two path, moved between horses turning for home, rallied three wide and among foes in the final furlong, bid for place along with an outer foe in the final sixteenth but was fended off. JONQUIL (GB) lacked speed in the four to three path around the first turn, swung out to the seven path into upper stretch, rallied to bid for minor placings in the closing stages but needed more for show. DIEGO VELAZQUEZ (IRE) came out and bumped an outer foe soon after the start, eased back to lay off of the pace along the inside, moved out to the three path down the backstretch, swung to the six path into upper stretch, ran on willingly but got outkicked by an outer foe in the final furlong. QUATROCENTO showed the way along the inside, shook clear entering the lane, but was collared by an outer bidder in midstretch and faded. HOWARD WOLOWITZ stalked two wide, pressed around the far turn, but failed to sustain pressure entering the lane and faded between horses. EPIC RIDE stalked while tucking to the inside around the first turn, chased in upper stretch then lacked progress before encountering mild traffic thrrough the final furlong. MERCANTE took firm contact from an inner foe soon after the start, then saved ground well back to no avail. BEACH GOLD pursued from midpack in the two path around the first turn, saved ground around the far turn and failed to factor. WOODSHAUNA (FR) was restless in the starting gate, then broke slow and spotted the rest multiple lengths at the start, trailed along the inside, then two wide around the far turn, made little impact and steadied while getting outkicked by an inner rival late.
