Footnotes
HEARTILY showed the way along the inside, drew off entering the lane and widened under a drive. LIBERTY VALANCE laid off of the pace in the four path, rallied to split foes at the sixteenth pole and claimed place late. STEEL GOLDEN was reluctant to load, lacked speed along the inside, bumped an outer rival while moving to the three to four path in upper stretch, ran on while hanging on his left lead to gain place late, but was caught nearing the wire. CIRCLE ME tracked near the inside, shifted out into the lane, but was bumped by an inner rival into an outer foe in upper stretch then stayed on mildly. HELMET OF WILL stalked along the inside, edged place from an outer rival in upper stretch, but only managed to chase into the final furlong before tiring. FLASH THE MAGIC broke slowly, saved ground off of the pace but to no avail. BOONESBORO chased forwardly in the three path, but was bumped to the five to six path in upper stretch and yielded. TELECASTER pressed outside of the eventual winner, proved no match entering the lane and faded between horses. STORMFORGED tracked from the three path, fanned out to the seven path into the lane and gave way on his left lead. FORTIUS hesitated at the start, trailed in the three path and made little impact. SAINT ROBERT'S ROW leaned outwardly while breaking slow, then got outrun in the two path. THE RIDER OF CIRCLE ME CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST STEEL GOLDEN ALLEGING INTERFERENCE IN THE STRETCH RUN, BUT THE OBJECTION WAS DISALLOWED BY THE STEWARDS.
