Footnotes
LOCAL KNOWLEDGE bumped the inner stall door upon leaving the gate and was off a step slow, advanced six to four wide and outside of foes into the turn, tracked turning for home, sustained gradual progress to bid leaving the furlong grounds and edged past. ROCKIES BALBOA bumped an inner rival at the start, prompted outside of the leader, pursued in the three path and between horses in upper stretch, but got outkicked by an outer rival in midstretch, yet kept on to reclaim place late. GALLIVANT bumped with an outer foe at the start, set the pace along the inside, held sway through upper stretch, but got collared by an outer bidder leaving the furlong grounds and gave way. COMMANDMENT saved ground well back, advanced inside of rivals entering the lane, shifted out to the five path in midstretch and ran on. INORDINARY stalked along the inside, chased in upper stretch and lacked a bid. MESQUITE raced at the rear along the inside, moved to the three path at the three furlong pole, paused briefly behind foes while entering the lane in the two path then moved up willingly. SCUFFLE stalked three wide, chased between horses around the turn and faded reaching the lane. MIDNIGHT ROCKET broke half a beat slow, raced off of the pace in the three to two path and between rivals, moved out to the five path into upper stretch but failed to menace. PROJECT was bumped on both sides at the start, pursued from midpack in the two path and gave way between horses. AU NATUREL lacked speed in the four to five path, floated out to the six path into the lane, shifted back in and made little impact. ASTOUND broke a beat slow, pursued from midpack in the four path, but steadied when floated to tight quarters in the five path and between horses entering the lane and tired. MODERN ACE dislodged his rider and got loose briefly during the post parade, broke on top when the gates sprung, chased wide while hustled early on, but faltered between horses into the turn and was eased through the lane.
