Footnotes
TENACIOUS LEADER stalked two wide, ranged up along with outer rivals turning for home, sustained his challenge while being fended off into the final furlong, yet wrestled an advantage passing the sixteenth pole then held from an outer challenger late. MONTADOR stalked along the inside, tipped out to the three path in upper stretch, chased in pursuit through midstretch, flopped back to his left lead at the sixteenth pole, sparked late progress, bid outside of the new leader approaching the wire but was denied. ROCKY JOY showed the way along the inside, met an outer challenge turning for home, held sway as his rider dropped his left rein in upper stretch, clung to an advantage into the final furlong, but got headed passing the sixteenth pole and yielded. FAVORABLE SCENARIO saved ground off of the pace, rallied up the rail in upper stretch to bid for show at the furlong grounds, but flattened out and held fourth. MONTEREY BAY pursued from midpack in the three path, tipped out to the four path in upper stretch and stayed on willingly. ATLAL tracked from midpack along the inside, then two wide and between horses around the far turn, ran on between rivals into the final furlong, but was put in tight at the sixteenth marker and yielded. STATES' RIGHTS lacked speed in the five to three path around the first turn, floated back out to the five path in upper stretch but lacked a rally. CARCANO raced at the rear along the inside, shifted out to the four path in upper stretch and failed to factor. ENTERDADRAGON raced off of the pace near the two path, saved grind into the lane and failed to factor. MARY'S BOY BOLT tracked two to three wide, crept closer between horses around the far turn, but chased into the lane then faded. MC VAY laid off of the pace in the four to three path, shifted out and advanced quickly four wide passing the half mile pole, achieved striking range outside of the leading group around the far turn, but folded while moving out to the eight path into the lane and was eased thereafter.
