Footnotes
CAN'T DENY IT was brushed by an inner rival leaving the gate before brushing with an outer foe soon after the start, vied for the lead with an outer rival while tucking to the inside into the turn, shook free reaching the five sixteenths pole, spurted clear entering the lane then held sway. LITIGATION pursued in the two path, spun into the lane in the three path before diving inwardly for clear racing room in upper stretch, rallied in the final furlong and belatedly narrowed the winner's margin. BIG BOAT stalked along the inside, claimed place from an outer rival while no match for the clear leader entering the lane, chased while moving out to the two to three path in upper stretch but got outkicked for place by an inner bidder in the final furlong. WARHEART brushed an outer rival at the start, laid off of the pace in the three path, tucked to the inside into the turn, then moved up in midstretch. CHEVAL DE GUERRE stalked from the two to three path, chased floating out to the four path into the lane and gave way. MISCHIEF RIVER brushed an outer rival at the start before trading light contact with an inner foe shortly after, pursued from midpack in the three path, floated out to the five path into the lane and tired. OPERATION SUNRISE was brushed by an inner rival at the start, vied outside of the leader and eventual winner into the turn, but failed to sustain pressure turning for home and weakened between horses. JET SWEEP JOE broke a beat slow, trailed along the inside and got outrun.
