Footnotes
BLAST FURNACE set the pace along the inside, built a clear advantage down the backstretch, remained in hand around the far turn, shifted out to the three to four path while clear in upper stretch then held sway from an outer on-charging rival alte. TOUGH LITTLE NUT was off awkwardly, laid well back in the three path, swung out to the six path into upper stretch, rallied with a good kick to close in on the clear leader in the final sixteenth but ran out of ground to reel that one in. SUSHI MAN stalked from the three path, pursued on his left lead in upper stretch, vied for place between horses entering the final furlong but got outkicked by an outer rival at the sixteenth pole then held show. IRONSIDES was bumped by a outer foe at the start, laid off of the pace in the two path, shifted out to the five path into upper stretch, stayed on while getting outkicked by an outer foe in the final furlong then missed show at the wire. BALTIMORE HEART transferred contact from an outer foe to an inner rival at the start, tracked along the inside, then from the three path around the far turn, pursued in the four path in upper stretch, ran on while hanging on his left lead to vie for place in midstretch but flattened out between horses. JOEJOE GO broke inwardly and bumped a foe at the start, tracked two wide, then along the inside within range of the clear leader approaching the far turn, chased in the two path in upper stretch, vied for place with an outer pair into the final furlong but yielded between rivals late. SENDERO saved ground in midpack to no avail. CANYON STREAK was off slow, trailed along the inside, shifted out in the stretch and made little impact.
