AMERICAN HISTORY raced from between horses along the first turn, chased the pace down the backstretch, was bumped near the quarter pole, raced in the five path entering the lane, made a bid four wide near the eighth pole while under a long drive and prevailed for place in the final stages. SALAHUDIN raced a bit keen into and along the first turn, settled once in the backstretch and tracked the early pace, was bumped near the quarter pole, raced in the four path into the lane, made a bid three wide in the stretch while being bumped again, was under a long drive inside the sixteenth pole and missed place in the final stages. COACH POPE raced three wide along the first turn and tracked the pace early on, was two wide along the far turn, raced in the three path into the lane, made a bid from between horses near the eighth pole but hung in the late stages. DAMAVAND set the pace early on while near the inside, was overtaken along the far turn, raced in the two path into the lane and gave way down the lane. HE IS NO LIE stumbled at the start and almost unseated the rider then trailed the field throughout.
