SHEZADEVIL was off slow and spotted the front a few lengths, angled out at the rear, was urged along on the far outside, went around the turn in the four path, rallied outside in the stretch and closed with a rush to get up late and prevail. SHELBI'S STAR showed speed then dropped back off the pace outside the three-quarter pole, tracked the leading duo from that point, shifted from the two path to the four on the turn, was roused near the five-sixteenths pole, gained to make a bid in the three path at the top of the stretch, took the lead just inside the three-sixteenths pole, disposed of ANDALE MUCHACHA into the final furlong, held a clear advantage into the final sixteenth but was caught while clear for the place. ANDALE MUCHACHA broke very alertly and went straight to the front, disputed the pace on the inside of a foe, vied in the two path on the turn, moved clear near the five-sixteenths pole, was challenged at the top of the stretch, lost the advantage just inside the three-sixteenths pole, dropped back into the final furlong and weakened while clear for the show. WELL RECEIVED was off slow and spotted the front a few lengths, rushed up on the outside to dispute the pace, vied in the three path on the turn, dropped back under strong urging coming to the five-sixteenths pole and capitulated. RAINY DAY was off a bit slow, saved ground while well back and was no factor.
