Footnotes
MISDEAL broke in at the start, was bumped extremely hard early then forced in while slammed between horses, raced well off the pace under urging, went around the turn in the three path, came into the stretch in the four path, rallied to get the lead just inside the sixteenth-pole, fought outside of the runner-up to the finish and prevailed under strong urging. BIG WOODS brushed with a rival at the start, was bumped extremely hard early and forced in sharply then slammed between horses, moved up to contest the pace on the outside, went clear into the turn, dropped from the three path to the two path on that bend, led under a drive until the sixteenth-pole then was headed by the winner, battled with that opponent to the finish and missed while able to get the place. BAYOULAND RED ducked in very sharply after the start then bumped a foe extremely hard, had the rider lose his right iron, chased the leaders on the outside, remained without the right iron while in the five to to six path on the turn, kept on well under good horsemanship in the stretch and displayed strong courage to get the show. CHARIOT was crunched hard between foes early then forced in badly and checked sharply, went around the turn in the three path, turned into the stretch in the five path and lacked the needed kick. CAJUN MOVIESTAR tossed his head some at the start but broke with the body of the field, was bumped very hard early and forced in sharply then checked, contested the pace on the inside of foes, dropped back leaving the backstretch, saved ground on the turn and had nothing left. HELLO COME IN was hustled from the gate then bumped very hard and crunched between horses and forced in while also checking, moved up to dispute the pace between foes, vied two path to the inside on the turn and tired. LEISURELY brushed with a rival at the start, had his path taken early and steadied, moved in while urged along well off the pace, traveled around the turn in the two path and failed to respond. FOLLOWING A STEWARDS' INQUIRY INTO THE EARLY PART OF THE RACE, BAYOULAND RED WAS DISQUALIFIED FROM THIRD AND PLACED LAST
