COBOCH sent to be forwardly placed early on, vied for the lead to the first turn then disputed the pace between foes into the backstretch, dueled WOLF MAN JACK to the quarter marker, got floated out by that rival to upper stretch, took command into the lane then drifted in at mid-stretch, dug in while on the left lead into the final sixteenth, kept to task into deep stretch and held well late for the win. FRIDAY NIGHT FEVER settled to the first turn, raced in mid-pack along the backstretch while outside of rivals, angled to the rail with three furlongs to run, kept an inside path to the stretch then rallied into the drive, caught in tight into the final furlong, tipped out and closed willingly in deep stretch, could not reel in the winner in the final yards and held for second. SPIELMAN off slowly and settled along the inside early on, made a steady advance along the rail nearing the half-mile, saved all of the ground to the far turn then angled three to four wide to upper stretch, chased to the furlong grounds, needed more late then was crowded in deep stretch but held well in the end for third. ROARING RAPIDS settled in the early stages then trailed into the backstretch, coaxed from the two path into upper stretch, angled out and rallied into the final sixteenth, was gaining late and just missed for third at the wire. WOLF MAN JACK hard sent from the gate, vied for the early lead then dueled inside of COBOCH into the backstretch, disputed decent fractions with that rival heading into the far turn, drifted out and floated COBOCH into upper stretch, lost position into the final furlong, was caught in tight in the final sixteenth and faded late. HE'S CHARMING settled off of the early pace while never far back, tracked the leaders while between foes nearing the half-mile pole, chased two wide to the quarter marker, outkicked to upper stretch, weakened in the drive. WHISKEY OVER ICE hustled to be close up to the early pace, stalked the leading pair three deep into the backstretch, lost ground into the far turn, could not find more into upper stretch, gave way. THE JOCKEY ON FRIDAY NIGHT FEVER LODGED AN OBJECTION AGAINST COBOCH, CLAIMING INTERFERENCE IN THE STRETCH. THE STEWARDS DISALLOWED THAT OBJECTION AND RULED THERE WOULD BE NO CHANGE. DUE TO A TIMING MALFUNCTION, THE SEVEN FURLONG FRACTIONAL TIME WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
