Footnotes
SWEET DARLIN got bumped at the start but still managed to contest the early pace with rivals inside and outside, held firm through the turn, then started to assert dominance in the stretch and drew off in the final furlong. TWO JET was up on the pace racing along the rail, steadied just past the half-mile pole, dropped back, kept to the inside, and came back on in the stretch to claim the second prize. CAJUN CATTITUDE took a light bump at the start, vied three-wide in the early pace mix, then was between horses bidding for the lead approaching the quarter pole, had every chance from upper stretch but flattened. LAKE MARIE hopped in the air at the start and was off slowly, rushed up to join the pace three-wide on the turn, but flattened in the stretch and was outfinished. LADY BE GONE dropped back early, chased the rest into the turn, but was unable to improve.
