Footnotes
BAYOU BOY settled off the pace and the inside, asked along second turn, came on the outside, closed with good resolve while widest to be up in time. DEFTLY DONE outrun in the early going off the inside, moved closer while three wide with four furlongs to run, bid, took over upper straight, remained clear until late, nailed in the final strides. CHAHTA CITIZEN pressed the issue early off the inside, dueled then gained the advantage second turn, dueled inside the runner up into the stretch then could not keep up with that one nor contain the winner. TWEET SOME MO set or forced the pace along the inside four six furlongs and began to weaken. C F JIMMY RAY raced in the second flight outside, lacked a closing kick. ALWAYS FIRST balked at loading, sluggish to fall well back and trail into the first turn while off the inside, continued to race back throughout.
