LIL CHILLY set the pace on the inside, dueled wit GROUND CONTROL on the far turn, dropped back a bit, then battled back gamely at the furlong marker, regained command and drew clear under urging. GROUND CONTROL stalked close up two wide, then pressed the pace on the backside, bid on the far turn, led into the stretch, edged away, then was outfinished in midstretch and dug in to save the place spot. SWAMP QUEEN raced off the pace inside, chased inside on the far turn, angled out in the stretch and rallied mildly outside. LOLA AND ROSE raced three wide early, stalked outside, chased on the far turn, came four wide into the lane and tired. BROADWAY PEARL raced off the rail, off the pace, lacked a response and gave way.
