BUZZ LIGHTFOOT led in the two path then moved to the rail on the clubhouse turn, controlled the pace to the far turn, kicked away into the lane, maintained a comfortable margin under right handed urging to the sixteenth pole and was ridden out late. HURRICANE COMIN brushed leaving the gate, raced up close three then two wide around the first turn, came under a ride still in the two path on the second bend, finished willingly down the lane but had to settle for second best. DOWNTOWN MOTOWN broke out and brushed HURRICAN COMIN, tracked three wide around both turns and outkicked BAYOUSUMCRAWFISH for the the show honors. BAYOUSUMCRAWFISH stalked along the rail, drew closer on the backstretch, lost some ground on the far turn still on the fence, lacked a bid in the lane and got outfinished for third. NO KID OF MINE forwardly placed outside a rival four then three wide on the first turn, came under a ride in the three path on the second bend and weakened in the drive. SWEET CANDY BOY settled inside then eased over to the two path on the first turn, trailed with SWEET PRESENT in the middle stages, went two wide into the lane and failed to menace. SWEET PRESENT trailed two then three wide early, eased further out into the backstretch, rounded the far turn in the three path and was never a factor.
