CAUSEWAY BENNY set the pace through the opening stages, challenged midway around the far turn, lost command turning for home, fought back to reclaim the lead past the eighth pole, battled head to head in the last sixteenth and dug in gamely to prevail. HEXCEL stalked the leader from inside, challenged from outside around the far turn, took over into the stretch, gave the lead back to CAUSEWAY BENNY past the eighth pole, fought back into deep stretch and came up just short in the end. BIG DRINKER bobbled and boke out, chased three then four wide around the first turn, asked in the three path around the second bend and failed to respond. I'M YOUR MAN stalked three wide on the first turn then between rivals, lost ground in the two path on the second bend and weakened in the drive. HEY BOSS tracked on the inside then eased out to the three path early, traveled outside a rival on the backstretch, continued three wide on the far turn and never made an impact. MAX S settled next to the fence then in the two path, trailed two wide on the far turn and had little left for the drive.
