Footnotes
TOOMUSH broke forwardly but outward bumping CAT'S CUSTOM, dueled up front into the first turn along the inside, helped set a legitimate set of early fractions while alternating up front, edged clear after five furlongs, extended that advantage through the final turn and continued to draw out through the lane while being kept to task. GOODMORNING GRACIE closest to the duel up front while three wide through the first turn, overtook one of the tiring leaders in the far turn, chased the winner in vain through the lane, comfortably saved the place. CAT'S CUSTOM bumped at the start to be off slowly, continued well back while just off the inside after steering out into the first turn to bother IT'S JUST SIMPLE, moved to the rail when beginning to rally midway on the final turn, continued with moderate interest to be slowly getting to the runner up late. RAINY DAY raced back off the pace and the inside early, continued out in the strip into the far turn, came four wide for the drive, improved a bit, not enough for the show. IT'S JUST SIMPLE dwelt at the start to spot the field a few lengths, was racing back with bothered into the first turn, continued to lack speed, floated out five wide into the lane, failed to muster a signficant rally. OH BABY settled off the pace while racing toward the inside, had little left in weakening through the stretch. KRAFTS PALACE also broke well, alternated up front for over four furlongs, failed to keep pace with the winner late backstretch and into the far turn, continued to steadily weaken to lose several positions in the drive.
