HIDALGO broke alertly, vied onto the main track while between rivals, continued to battle in the lead pack, three down to the two path through the turn while remaining between horses, fell back off the leader nearing midstretch, came again to try that rival from the inside with less than a furlong remaining, dug in late to narrowly prevail in determined fashion. SOCIAL CLIMBER broke out to bump with COCKED PISTOL, was straightened and also raced with the pace out of the chute, continued to help set the pace while widest of the first flight, eased out to a larger advantage when straightened for home, drifted out a bit in midstretch, challenged by the winner late, outkicked by that one to narrowly miss. ARCO THUNDER broke with the leaders, raced back in the second flight outside, came four wide for the drive when beginning to advance, continued to steadily cut into the leaders' margin but ran out of track late to settle for the show spot. SAINT RONIN broke back, quickly moved up into contention to race with the leaders out of the chute, continued with the pace, saved ground into the lane then began to weaken. GARY P bothered at the break to be away slowly, moved closer up the inside, went evenly through the turn while steering out to be three wide for the drive, continued one paced to the wire. COCKED PISTOL bumped at the start, lacked speed well wide, four path through the turn, went evenly through the lane in lacking a closing kick. SUNSET SKIP fell back to trail after the start, failed to menace while three wide. KEYS GOLDEN SONG flashed some early speed along the inside, began to fade before a half. MIDNIGHT SUPERCELL off a step slow, remained always back.
