Footnotes
DAYOFTHEWARRIOR pressed the pace, dropped back on the turn, came again, closed steadily and wore down his rivals to get up late. PALACE ALEX set a pressured pace to the second turn, drew clear, led to the sixteenth pole and was outclosed to finish second best. RUNNER RUNNER was never far back, rallied on the turn, bid four wide entering the stretch to contend, hung late and settled for show. BORONGAN raced close to the pace, bid three wide between horses on the turn, was within range and came up empty late. TACLOBAN bumped, was steadied and pinched back at the start, fell far back and showed little. GEAUX WARRIOR bumped at the start, was void of early speed and was always outrun.
