NEON LIGHTS (IRE) raced up close on the inside then in the two path on the clubhouse turn, bid inside the leader with three furlongs remaining, put a head in front dueling on the far turn, cleared in upper stretch and held safely over the runner-up. WICKED SECRET unhurried in the early going, angled to the inside then moved back off the rail on the first turn, passed a couple rivals two then three wide on the far turn, tipped out for a clear run, rallied and got up for second. LE MONSTRE RAPIDE showed the way two to three wide early, challenged by NEON LIGHTS (IRE) at the three-eighths pole, lost command dueled around the bend, fought to upper stretch, could not keep up with the winner into the final furlong and lost second late. SAND CAST stalked off the rail around the first turn, asked three wide on the far turn and could not summon the needed late kick. FRAN'S STAR tracked from inside then steered off the rail around the first turn, came back to the rail and was coaxed along the fence on the far turn, moved out in upper stretch and lacked further response. PUBLIUS was off slow to begin, reserved three, four, then five wide on the first turn, crept closer on the backstretch, continued five wide on the far turn and weakened. MAKI MONARCHY rated three then four wide early, pulled from the five-eighths pole to the nine-sixteenths marker, dropped back in the four path on the far turn and weakened.
