Footnotes
NAT GAS outrun in the early going well out in the strip, five wide into the turn, four wide exiting when beginning to advance, collared the dueling leaders approaching the furlong marker and powered by under token encouragement to win ridden out. SIP AND GO broke in good order, dueled up front in the two path, continued to alternate for the advantage through the turn and into upper stretch, proved no match for the winner while edging clear for the runner up position. ROYAL HOPE behind the first flight off the inside, remained closest to the duel through the bend, staged a mild rally to be along for the show. MR. TEXAS CHARM broke on top, dueled up front along the inside, continued on equal terms with the runner up in upper stretch, first to blink, weakened, caught for the show. PURE MALICE hesitated at the break, fell back and was never involved while picking off a single tiring rival late. BLAME ME SERIOUSLY off the pace outside, raced four wide through the lane and had little left in backing up through the stretch.
