PUBLIUS raced in mid pack while out in the course, four wide through the final turn, roused in upper straight and closed with a burst of energy to win going away. TWOKO BAY forwardly placed early the two path first turn, continued in the second flight backstretch, lost some position in traffic 2nd turn, switched out for room nearing midstretch and finished well to earn the place. CREEKSIDE chased early inside, idled and lost some position while saving ground second turn, shaken up for the drive, came again to regain a forward position midstretch but proved no match for the top two in the end. PARROT HEAD back off the pace while inside, unhurried into the final turn, steadied when in tight midway on that bend, steered out three wide and rallied to improve position. STEEL VENOM in the main group off the inside, second flight and between horses final turn, closer nearing the furlong marker then flattened out in the final sixteenth to lose a couple of positions. DUDE DROP KID settled off the pace and the inside, raced four wide in the second flight into the far turn, had little for the drive. SLAVA UKRAINI broke with the leaders, raced five wide into the first turn, angled in to be in the two path exiting, showed the way up the backstretch just off the inside, continued to hold the advantage into the straight then caved when confronted for the final furlong. BANDERA BLING lacked speed inside, steadied slightly in tight quarters onto the backstretch, moved out, came five wide for the drive, improved position a bit while not a serious threat. NAPOLEONIC CODE lacked speed off rail, steadied in tight late in the final turn, remained back. WILTON devoid of speed in trailing much of the way, fanned six wide into the lane, failed to rally. MUFFIN NUTS bothered and was six wide into the first turn, recovered to race forwardly in the run up the backstretch then gave way while off the rail in the final turn.
