BIG DRINKER broke back, lacked speed three to four wide first turn, continued to race out in the strip, four wide down to three wide in the second bend when advancing, challenged on the outside into the stretch, dueled outside the runner up and proved best late under firm handling. BRILLIANT PLAN inside of traffic when in a bit tight first turn, moved out to be three wide onto the backstretch, advanced and challenged three down to two path second turn, vied between horses into the lane, dueled with the winner then was outkicked by that one late. CAUSEWAY BENNY broke forwardly, showed the way first turn two path, moved inside, continued to show the way, vied into the lane inside the top two, could not keep pace with that pair the final furlong, saved the show. CRITICAL THREAT void of speed, continued to lag far turn, asked along began to move closer soon after along the inside, in some traffic with a quarter to run, improved position when clear for the drive. PURPLE HEART pressed the leader from off the inside, moved to challenge between horses midway on the second turn, dropped to the inside when vying into the lane and began to weaken. UP N GONE back off the pace outside, five down to four wide through the second turn when within striking distance, gave way through the stretch.
