Footnotes
EAST SHORE gained a forward position early on and settled nicely behind a hotly contested pace, angled out into the far turn then went on the attack five wide and in hand, toyed with an inner pair past the five sixteenths, cruised clear entering the stretch, responded when roused and pulled away under a steady hand ride. SARANAC LAKE , with the pace four deep around the first turn, eased back a bit off the dueling leaders and stalked four wide, rebid four deep around the far turn, sparred on a slim lead between foes past the three eighths, failed to contain the outer winner nearing the quarter pole but stayed on willingly to be well clear of the rest. BLUEBERRY EYES vied between runners into the first turn and past the seven eighths, rated back a bit to stalk leaving the three quarter pole, came back on with a bid three wide between horses around the far turn, inherited the rail and vied inside runners leaving the five sixteenths, kept on with effort pastr mid stretch then weakened late. LIGHTENING MO settled well off the rail and off the contested pace, circled four to five wide into the stretch but lacked a response. MISSION BELLE , with the pace two wide between runners leaving the seven eighths, emerged in a duel outside HOW BOUT ME past the three quarter pole, held a short lead into the far turn, was swarmed over soon after, chased to the quarter pole and weakened. HOW BOUT ME was sent hard to the inside of three foes entering the first turn and gained a short lead, dueled to the far turn, failed to go on with outer foes and faltered leaving the three eighths pole. LITTLE Z dropped inside early on, lagged back off the duel, saved ground into the lane and failed to get involved.
