MAGNIFIED forwardly placed early on, ceded the early lead then prompted the pace to the backstretch, dueled ALAJUELA into the far turn then took command nearing the quarter pole, battled ALAJUELA into upper stretch, shook free of that rival into the final furlong, drifted out a path to the final sixteenth and drew clear late. FIRSTUP well placed in the early going, tracked the leading pair along the backstretch from the second flight, gained ground two to three wide at the quarter marker, chased into the stretch, couldn't make headway on the winner late but fought on and outfinished ALAJUELA to earn second. ALAJUELA got crowded a bit at the start but sent for the early lead, took command and set decent fractions while prompted into the backstretch, dueled MAGNIFIED into the turn then battled inside of that rival to upper stretch, yielded to the winner into the final furlong then was outfinished late for second, while holding clearly for third. HANK RIDGE was forwardly placed to the first turn, tracked the decent pace while saving ground along the backstretch, chased from the inside heading to the quarter pole, kept an inside path to the stretch, couldn't find the needed response at the furlong pole, flattened out late. SWEET PRESENT shuffled back at the start and trailed early, improved position to the backstretch, coaxed two wide to upper stretch and did not factor. CINCO TACO settled in the early stages, saved ground along the backstretch, no threat in the stretch. SUNSET SKIP unhurried from the gate, trailed into the backstretch, was distanced to the stretch, eased through the lane and walked off.
