BEACH BLANKET tracked inside, well placed to the far turn, tipped out at the quarter marker then confronted HOT LEGS ROMOLO, dueled the game runner-up to deep stretch and determinedly prevailed. HOT LEGS ROMOLO set pace to quarter pole, met bid of BEACH BLANKET into the lane, dug in to deep stretch, was gamely bested for the win and was a clear second. QUATERNION settled while never far back, shifted inside into the second turn, could not impact the top pair in the stretch drive and got up for third. DR. NIKO stalked the pace two to three wide to far turn, weakened in the stretch and was outfinished for third. HE'S CHARMING settled inside, saved ground to quarter marker, no late kick. BAYOU BOY settled, raced widest to the far turn, coaxed five wide upper stretch, no late factor. DUE WE DARE hopped start, unhurried to the backstretch, floated five wide upper, no threat. DEFTLY DONE settled inside, swung four wide upper stretch, no late response.
