STAKES Super Derby Black Type - Thoroughbred
FOR THREE YEAR OLDS. No nomination fee. $2,000 to pass the entry box and an additional $2,000 to start. Supplemental nomination of $8,000 will be accepted at time of entry and includes all fees. Final entries to be made through the entry box THURSDAY, SEP TEMBER 3RD, 2026 BY 10:00 A.M. CDT. After payment of $4,000 to all owners finishing sixth through last, 60% of the remaining purse shall be paid to the winning owner, 20% to second, 11% to third, 6% to fourth, and 3% to fifth. Weights: 124 lbs. First pr eference will be given to highest lifetime earnings in Graded Stakes. Second preference to highest lifetime earnings. Lifetime earnings will be determined according to statistics provided by Equibase. This race will be limited to Fourteen (14) starters. H orses not drawing a starting position in the gate will receive a refund of the entry fee. If less than Fourteen (14) horses start, the purse money not distributed will revert to the winning owner. A trophy will be presented to the winning owner.

QUARRY never far back off the inside while coming out briefly into the first turn to bother a couple of other rivals, made an early move to contest the issue up front three wide, vied into the far turn, shook clear of the other speed entering the stretch, extended that advantage approaching the furlong grounds, enough left to hold the runner up at bay in the waning strides. SAV'N MONEY off the early pace while three wide through the first turn, began to advance off the inside second turn, three to four wide into the stretch, set down, displayed good late energy down the middle of the strip to be rapidly getting to the winner. TRENDSETTER bumped with RENEGADE RED at the break, bothered into first turn, settled outside, four wide advance in the second turn, came three wide for the drive, went flat the final furlong to finish up best of the rest. EMANCIPATION in some traffic behind the leaders late in the first turn, crept a bit closer between horses late backstretch, two path final turn, went evenly through the lane when clear. MARC void of speed off the inside early, continued back, angled out to be four then five wide into the stretch, improved position without posing a serious threat. ZAMPINO broke alertly, set or forced the pace along the inside, continued to vie second turn, briefly dueled with the winner late in that bend then caved in through the stretch. RENEGADE RED bumped at the start, recovered to race within striking distance in the second flight, moved closer from between horses into the far turn, gave way in the drive. COCKED PISTOL bothered and was moved out five wide into the first turn when off the pace, fell well back the middle half mile, trailed in, jogged across.
