Footnotes
DUDE DROP KID fell back from between horses in the first flight early in the first bend, one paced in the run up the backstretch off the inside, dropped to the rail when beginning to advance midway on the second turn, shifted out slightly for the drive, challenged inside the drifting leader with a sixteenth to run and was edging away at the end. WISE VERDICT broke up front, wide past the wire the first time, angled in entering the first turn, showed the way up the backstretch and into the far turn while under pressure, shook clear late in that bend and into the stretch, drifted out past the furlong marker then was unable to withstand the winner the final sixteenth, clearly second best. RAZOR CREST hesitated at the break to be away slowly, raced back and inside, moved out, came four wide for the drive, rallied out in the course to be up for the show. MUFFIN NUTS forwardly placed, pressed the pace while between horses up the backstretch and into the far turn, fell back off the runner up late in that bend, continued to gradually weaken to miss the show. BIG TAP BABY five wide into the first turn when with the first group, angled in a bit to prompt the issue three wide onto the backstretch, continued forwardly before also weakening for the stretch run.
