Footnotes
LOUISIANA COWGIRL allowed the two leaders to go early exiting the chute, raced within striking distance in the three path up the backstretch and into the turn, challenged on the outside with two furlongs remaining, battled past the furlong marker then kicked clear late under steady handling. KENTUCKY CAJUN pressured the leader from the outside for a half, challenged between horses and inside the winner turning for home, remained on equal terms with that one past the furlong marker then could not keep up, clear of the others. SACRED SAINT moved up to a forward position leaving the chute, remained within striking distance toward the inside, cut the corner into the lane, displayed a modest amount of late interest to be up for the show along the rail while not a threat to the top two. WHERE'S AUNT J set a moderately pressured pace toward the inside, could not keep pace with the top two when straightened for home, allowed SACRED SAINT the inside late and was caught by that one for the show. BLESSED ASSURANCE lacked speed while racing off the inside, came four wide for the drive, one paced past the furlong marker, taken in hand late.
