WHERE'S AUNT J was sent for the front from the outside post, vied three-wide early, then put a head in front early on the turn, opened up a clear lead when set down in the stretch, and drew off under steady handling, holding off a mild late threat to the inside. LOUISIANA COWGIRL showed good speed from the start, was always prominent through the early stages racing towards the inside, got an opening on the rail in upper stretch, and responded with vigor when asked, made a nice run up the rail to gain the place. MO DIXIE DIVA settled mid-pack down the backstretch, then made an aggressive forward move from the half-mile pole to get up to the leaders by the quarter pole, chased WHERE'S AUNT J into the stretch ducked to the inside then flattened out a bit in the final yards. ZIPPING MOLLY was bothered a bit at the start but got away well, shifted lanes to the outside midway down the backstretch, moved up heading into the turn to press for the lead through the turn, got stuck behind horses approaching the stretch, then put in a good finish but came up short. LITTLE Z veered in after the break then was held up behind the main pack down the backstretch, swept around the field on the turn to bid five-wide for the lead turning for home, loomed a big threat in mid-stretch but flattened out in the final furlong. BEULAH K was surrounded racing near the rear of the tight main group, got a clear run turning into the stretch, but struggled to change leads properly and hung. UNIFIED LOVE settled near the back, tried to make a late run, was willing, but unable to make up much ground in the stretch. PAT HAND GIRL was outrun through the early stages, was put into a drive midway on the turn, and finished with some interest but could not make an impact. MISS KENNEDY broke through the gate before the start, was quickly caught and reloaded, went to the lead from the start, dueled inside of a rival, weakened at the three-furlong pole, and was not a factor in the late stages. GYPSYROSELEE pressed the pace close up inside, then came under a drive after passing the three-furlong pole and had little to offer in the stretch.
