Footnotes
SUPER STORMY was held up after the break and settled at the back through the clubhouse turn, became a bit rank past the six-furlong pole and pulled into contention by the far turn, deftly navigated through traffic through that turn, then burst clear in the stretch to win going away. CLEARLY BELLA was off slowly, then advanced steadily down the backstretch run, became boxed in and steadied late on the far turn, but got clear near the quarter pole and put in a good late run, but was not able to get to the winner. REAL MISCHIEVOUS settled along the rail in the middle of the pack, moved closer as the field went into the far turn, came out a path to get around a tiring rival, and finished up well to gain third. SNEAKY STALKER broke well and was one of the first into the clubhouse turn, ceded the front to TRUE CHIEF while maintaining a stalking position to the outside to the far turn, made a bid for the lead approaching the three-furlong pole, found a reslient rival until gaining the advantage in upper stretch but attracted immediate challengers to the inside and outside and was outfinished in the final furlong. SMALL TOWN HEROINE was always close up racing three-wide, made some effort in the late stages, but was outkicked and unable to threaten. FICKLE MISTRESS raced three-wide in the back half of the pack through the first half, steadied slightly just past the three-furlong pole, then lacked a strong finish while racing a bit erratically under left and right-handed urging. ELWIN settled in mid-pack through the first half mile, then dropped to last heading into the turn, came back on four-wide late on the turn, and managed to outfinish a few before the finish. QUEEN BERKELEY showed no early foot from the outset, moved up to join the main back on the backstretch run, steadied just past the three-furlong pole, came back up the rail, then steadied sharply inside the furlong marker and lost any chance. TRUE CHIEF hustled out of the gate, made the lead on the first turn, then was left to dictate the early pace with the field bunched up behind, dug in briefly when challenged late on the turn, but weakened in upper stretch, then faded in the late stages. INEZ went three wide through the first turn, settled in the middle of the tight pack down the backstretch, then was unable to keep up as the field entered the far turn and trailed well behind the rest to the finish.
