Footnotes
HURRICANE LASSIE broke well from the outside, showed the way up the backstretch and into the turn, shrugged off here nearest pursuer turning for home and remained clear to the wire under steady handling. CHAPARRITA back off the pace and the inside, moved closer four wide exiting the turn, rallied while widest and was slowly getting to the winner late. YODA WINNER a bit fractious in the gate, raced back off the pace and the inside, in the second flight between horses turn, dropped to the rail when approaching the furlong grounds and was along for the show late, no threat to the top two. AZTEC EMPRESS prompted the winner from the outside in the three path, steadily weakened through the lane, caught late for the third spot.
