Footnotes
INFASTUATION , with the pace inside rivals, steadied briefly into the turn, regrouped and came back along to bid along the rail, sparred into the lane, wrested command a furlong out, shook clear nearing the sixteenth pole then held sway under a drive. GREGORIAN SOLO rated off the duel while off the inside, quickly gained five wide into the stretch, chased the dueling leaders past mid stretch and kept on grinding to nab the place. BOND'S BELLE , in tight at the break, regrouped and edged up inside past the five eighths, angled out and bid five deep leaving the far turn, moved to slim lead approaching the quarter pole, dueled outside the winner from upper stretch to past mid stretch then gave way grudgingly. BRIGHTNESS drifted in at the break bumping a rival, dropped off the early pace, gained inside nearing the quarter pole, shifted out but lacked a solid follow through. JUST THE THING rushed up and bid four wide between rivals into the turn, put a head in front near the three eighths, continued a forward presence to mid stretch then faded. TIERRA SANTA , bumped at the break, vied two wide between foes and weakened in upper stretch. THUNDER IN PARIS , bumped at the break, was taken up sharply near the five eighths, dropped back then raced wide around the turn. SOUTH PACIFIC sped to a slim lead outside foes, battled three wide between runners leaving the far turn then faltered. There was a stewards' inquiry concerning THUNDER IN PARIS and her run soon after the start. No action was deemed necessary.
