DAUFUSKIE ISLAND , bumped and in tight at the break, recovered and showed a burst of speed between foes to take command, handled outer pressure into the turn, moved away under some rating mid turn while off the rail mid turn, drifted out a couple paths soon into the lane, corrected with right handed asking, finally switched over to his left lead in deep stretch and held firm. SHIPMAN , unruly pre race, was walked to the gate then loaded without the rider, showed speed and disputed the early pace outside the winner, was put to a hearty ride as that one got away leaving the far turn, shifted in for the drive and dug in gamely to hold down the place. COMMINGLING drafted back while saving ground leaving the far turn, picked things up entering the stretch, eased out and churned on to the wire. CATAHOULA MOON , a bit reluctant to load, was bumped at the break, regrouped and edged up between runners nearing the half, chased wide into the lane, raced on his left lead and came up empty. COACHES MEETING bore out at the break soundly bumping the winner, lagged back off the pace, was under a ride past the three eighths, swung well out in the track in the final furlong but failed to menace. FENWICK , three deep pursuing the leaders into the turn, faltered after three furlongs.
